Le Coin Arboré - the perfect idyll for the perfect holiday

The gite in this lovely old stone Charentais farmhouse combines traditional features, such as exposed oak beams, wooden shutters, terracotta tiled floors and even an original bread oven in the kitchen, with all the comforts of modern living. The gite adjoins our own home, but has its own entrance as well as a covered outdoor dining terrace with gas barbecue. There is parking for up to two cars. Although the interieur is "non-smoking", you can always enjoy a cigar or cigarette in the garden or undercover on the dining terrace. The accomodation has been specially designed to accomodate either families, couples or groups of friends.

Downstairs

The entrance hall leads to the main salon, the kitchen, the 'Snug' bedroom, a large bathroom & seperate WC. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with a fridge (small freezer section), full oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker etc.

The 'Snug' is a bright but cosy reading/media room with a large convertable English sofa bed (double bed with a fully sprung mattress).  Ideal for chilling out with a book, watching dvd films, playing games on a playstation (TV with oulet & dvd player).

You can also use the wi fi connection for internet access (for e mails & searches etc, but not for major downloads as there is limited amount of megabytes as access is via a satelite. Alternatively clients can opt for a top up payment if they wish to use the download facility).

The main salon is a bright spacious living area (32sq.m.) with exposed oak beams, traditional tiled floor & French doors. A very comfortable place to relax with 3 sofas (one of these is also a convertible sofa bed for 1 person), a rocking chair, coffee table, large TV (English & French channels), DVD, CD, books, games etc. You can even tinkle a tune on the old piano if you wish.

There is a dining area at one end of the salon, with a large buffet dressr, an Italian dining table & chairs plus a hostess trolley. A detachable child's highchair is also available if required.

The large family bathroom is also on the downstairs floor. It has a seperate bath and shower, tiled washbasin area and tiled vanity area (with hairdryer) plus an electric heater/towel rail.  The washing machine is in the bathroom.

Upstairs

The staircase off the entrance halls leads to two large fully carpeted bedrooms & another WC on the landing. 

The charming 'Aquarelle' master bedroom overlooks the pool and gardens. It has a King size bed (with English pillows), antique pine triple wardrobe, chest of drawers,& bedside cabinets with lamps, full lenth mirror plus a ceiling fan.

The bright pretty 'Rose' triple bedroom next door has a double window aspect with a pool view. It has a King size bed & a single (with English pillows), small built-in wardrobe, mahogany chest of drawers & full length mirror, bedside tables with lamps plus a ceiling fan.
